According to the policy regarding the change of examination centers, candidates will be allowed to request a change of their exam center on valid grounds such as medical reasons, clashes with other exams, marriage or death of a close relative, pregnancy or maternity for female candidates, natural disasters or serious law and order situations.
Secretary of the Punjab Public Service Commission, Afzal Ahmed has issued the policy notification after the final approval of Chairman, Punjab Public Service Commission, Lieutenant General (Retired) Muhammad Abdul Aziz.
According to Deputy Director of Punjab Public Service Commission, Syed Kazim Muqaddas Kazmi requests for a change of exam center will only be considered under specific circumstances including medical reasons, exam clashes, marriage or death of a close relative, pregnancy or maternity for female candidates, natural disasters or serious law and order conditions.
All such requests must be accompanied by authentic and verifiable documentary evidence. The spokesperson added that in extraordinary and unavoidable situations such as a change of residence, transfer or difficulty in accessing the center for special candidates requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
However, no request will be processed without supporting documentation. Furthermore, employees of the Commission applying for any position will have their exam center fixed in Lahore and no change to a regional office center will be allowed.
Additionally, requests for a change of exam center must be submitted at least seven days before the written examination. All requests will be decided based on merit and candidates will be notified within three to five working days wherever possible.
