Prince Faisal assures of Riyadh’s willingness to continue dialogue, says Iranian FM

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amira­bdollahian has claimed that Prince Faisal assures of Riyadh’s willingness to continue dialogue with Iran.

Iranian Foreign Minister conversed with his Saudi colleague outside of a summit in Jordan the day before the summit.

Amirabdollahian wrote on Twitter that Prince Faisal assured me of his country’s willingness to continue the dialogue with Iran.

Iranian FM also said that he also spoke with the foreign ministers of Oman, Qatar, Iraq, and Kuwait.

While talking to IRNA he also claimed that the talks will start in Baghdad.

However, The Saudi foreign ministry did not immediately respond to the claims of Iranian FM.

Tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia had increased since the start of the Iranian protests.

The Revolutionary Guards also advised Saudi Arabia to control its media and the Iranian intelligence minister cautioning Riyadh that Tehran’s strategic patience may not last forever.

Earlier, the Top General of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Esmail Ghani, referred to KSA as “a scum and not worthy of being an enemy”.
