Prof. Shakeeb Ullah reviews admissions at Veterinary University, Swat

SWAT: Prof. Dr. Shakeeb Ullah, Vice Chancellor of the Veterinary and Animal Science, chaired a meeting ofthe Admission Committee in Committee Room.

The meeting was attended by committee members including the Additional Registrar, Director Academics, Deputy Registrar, Heads of Faculties, Director Admission, Director QEC, Assistant Director IT, Heads of relevant Departments, and other concerned officials.

The Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of all committee members and emphasized the importance of teamwork and timely completion of admission-related activities.

Prof Dr Shakeeb Ullah has modernized the University of Veterinary of Animal Sciences, Swat. He is the right man to steer this newly built university on the course of modernity. Prof Shakeeb Ullah has built confidence among the faculty and staff of the university with his untiring devotion to quality of learning.

In his message for the public, he says “It gives me immense pride to welcome you to the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Swat. As an institution dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusivity, UVAS Swat stands as a beacon of opportunity for aspiring students and scholars. Our mission is to nurture talent, inspire curiosity, and equip future leaders with the knowledge and skills required to serve society with integrity and vision.”

He added, “At UVAS Swat, we believe education is not only about acquiring degrees but about shaping character, fostering responsibility, and contributing meaningfully to the world. The Directorate of Admission plays a pivotal role in this journey by ensuring transparency, merit, and accessibility in the admission process.”

He was earlier vice chancellor of Gomal University, Dera Ismael Khan. During his term at Gomal University, he purged the university of corruption and strived to solve the ages-old problem of shortage of manpower. He brought transparency in university affairs and streamlined the process of affiliation with private colleges.

He also remained the president of Pakistan Veterinary Medical Council (PVMC). It is due to his passion for quality and modernity that Pakistan is now able to preserve its livestock and increase its milk and meat produce.
