PSX-100 index hits new milestone, closes at record 70,910 points

Foreign investors set a new stock market record as the Pakistan Stock Exchange reached its highest-ever closing level. Reports hinted at a potential policy rate decrease by the State Bank of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Stock Exchange ended the day at its highest-ever level, with the 100-index rising by 620 points to reach a historic high of 70,910 points.

On Friday, foreign investors bought shares worth $23 million in the stock exchange. Such a large investment in a single day hadn’t been seen in the stock exchange for 7 years.
