Punjab CNF arrests 140 drug dealers, seizes 325kg narcotics

Lahore – Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, “Drug-Free Punjab, Healthy and Safe Punjab,” the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) continues its crackdown against drug peddlers and smugglers across the province. During the last three weeks, Punjab CNF conducted 145 successful operations, arrested 140 drug dealers, and foiled the transportation of a total of 325 kilograms of narcotics across the province.

According to the spokesperson for Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, the operations resulted in the recovery of 11 kilograms of ice (crystal methamphetamine), 46 kilograms of opium, 22 kilograms of heroin, 171 kilograms of hashish and 75 kilograms of cannabis, while 1,240 litres of liquor were also seized. The total estimated value of the recovered narcotics and other prohibited substances is Rs. 109.75 million.

During the operations, 13 pistols, three rifles and a drone were also recovered along with the narcotics. Punjab CNF is continuing intelligence-based operations against organized drug networks across the province, with the objective of preventing the transportation and sale of narcotics and providing the younger generation with a safe and healthy environment.

According to the Punjab CNF spokesperson, 25.1 tonnes of narcotics have been seized since August 2025, with an estimated value of Rs. 2.39 billion.
