Punjab opens online auction for premium vehicle number plates

Citizens can register through e-Auction App, Web Portal until 31st July to bid for their preferred vehicle registration numbers from the comfort of their homes

The registration process for the online auction of premium vehicle registration numbers for the month of July has officially commenced through the e-Auction App and Web Portal, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in collaboration with the Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department.

Interested individuals can register online until 31st July to participate in the auction and secure their preferred vehicle registration numbers. The e-Auction platform facilitates the auction of registration numbers for motorcycles, motorcars, and commercial vehicles. Details of the successful bidders are also made available on the e-Auction App, ensuring complete transparency throughout the process.

In this regard, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said, “The e-Auction platform enables citizens to participate in the auction of their preferred vehicle registration numbers through a transparent, convenient, and secure digital process.”

“By leveraging digital technology, we have made the entire auction process more efficient, transparent, and accessible to the public. This initiative not only enhances citizen convenience but also strengthens the digital delivery of government services across Punjab,” he maintained.
