According to the official notification, all teachers must wear a black gown during teaching hours. Male teachers are required to wear simple shalwar kameez or pants with shirts, while female teachers are instructed to dress in modest and decent attire.

The dress code will come into effect from February 23, 2026, and will be strictly enforced in all public educational institutions. Teachers are also required to wear closed shoes or suitable sandals as part of maintaining decorum.

School heads will be responsible for ensuring daily compliance with the new guidelines. Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of educational districts have been directed to monitor adherence closely and ensure that teachers follow the dress code consistently.
