Confirming the initial forensic findings to local media, Police Surgeon Dr Samia Syed stated that the post-mortem analysis clearly established evidence of sexual assault and physical torture. The formal case has been registered at the Quaidabad police station following a complaint lodged by the victim’s father. The First Information Report (FIR) includes legal provisions for kidnapping, rape, and murder. According to the grieving father, his daughter, identified as Kulsoom, went missing after playing outside her house. Following an unsuccessful search by the family, the victim’s body was discovered zipped inside a sack thrown in the neighbourhood by unknown perpetrators. Police authorities have initiated a thorough investigation to track down those responsible for the crime.
