Sanam Javed, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, others summoned in PML-N office burning case

The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore has called upon accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sanam Javed, along with Dr. Yasmin Rashid and others, to appear for the next hearing regarding two cases involving the burning of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) office on May 9.

During the hearing presided over by Judge Arshad Javed, PTI leaders Dr. Yasmin Rashid and Ejaz Chaudhary, among other defendants, were presented in court from jail, while Sanam Javed was brought from Sargodha Jail.

The court has adjourned proceedings for both cases until May 8, summoning the accused to face charges at the upcoming session.

Notably, former Governor Umar Sarfraz Cheema, Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Mian Mahmood-ul-Rashid, Ejaz Chaudhary, and Sanam Javed are among those implicated. The court has provided copies of the charge sheet to the accused.

These cases relate to the alleged arson of the PML-N office in Model Town Lahore.
