ISLAMABAD, August 26, 2026 — The federal government has suspended Mr. Muhammad Aslam Ghauri, BS-22 officer of the Secretariat Group, from the post of Secretary, National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Division.
According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, he has been placed under suspension for an initial period of 120 days with immediate effect under Rule 5 of the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 2020.
In a related move, Capt. (Retd.) Muhammad Mahmood, BS-21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service and currently serving as Secretary, Housing and Works Division, has been assigned the additional charge of Secretary, National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Division.
The notification states that he will hold the additional portfolio for *three months or until a regular incumbent is posted*, whichever is earlier. He will continue to perform his own duties as Housing Secretary alongside.
