Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are celebrating a major milestone as they mark their first wedding anniversary.

The couple, who have been in the spotlight since their relationship became public in December 2023, celebrated one year of marriage on Sunday, September 27, 2026.

A star-studded wedding

After years of knowing each other, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco decided to take their relationship to the next level and tied the knot in September 2025.

The couple held an intimate wedding ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, surrounded by close friends, family and several famous names from the entertainment industry.

Among the celebrity guests were Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, SZA, Camila Cabello, Mark Ronson, Finneas, Steve Martin and Martin Short.

The wedding came less than a year after Selena and Benny announced their engagement. They revealed their engagement on December 11, 2024, sharing a joint Instagram post with the words, “forever begins now.”

Selena shares unseen wedding photo

As the couple reached their first anniversary, Selena looked back at one of the most special moments of her life.

The singer and actress shared a never-before-seen black-and-white photo from her wedding day on Instagram Stories. The picture showed Selena and Benny walking hand-in-hand while wearing their wedding outfits.

Selena’s wedding dress was specially customised by Ralph Lauren, while Benny chose a Ralph Lauren Purple Label outfit for the occasion.

Alongside the romantic photograph, Selena wrote, “Happy anniversary, my love, love you to the moon and back.”

Benny also marked the occasion with a heartfelt tribute to his wife. The music producer shared a special moment from their wedding and wrote, “1 year down, forever to go.”

The couple’s anniversary posts gave fans a glimpse into their private celebration and highlighted the memories they have created since becoming husband and wife.

Five months apart after marriage

While Selena and Benny have continued to remain in the spotlight, their first year of marriage has also included a period of long-distance living.

The couple reportedly spent five straight months living apart because of Selena’s professional commitments.

Selena was in London while filming the upcoming season of Hulu’s hit series Only Murders in the Building. Benny remained in the United States during that period.

Despite the distance, the couple reunited in July to celebrate Selena’s 33rd birthday.

Selena makes a major property move

Their first wedding anniversary has also coincided with a significant change in Selena’s lifestyle.

Selena has reportedly sold her Encino mansion in Los Angeles for $5.399 million. The sale ends her roughly six-year ownership of the property, which was originally custom-built for rock musician Tom Petty in 1989.

The estate, located in Encino’s Rancho enclave, covers approximately 11,400 to 11,500 square feet. The three-level property features six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

Selena purchased the home for around $4.9 million in 2020. She later put it on the market in May 2026 with an asking price of nearly $6.5 million.

However, the mansion eventually sold in September for around $1.1 million less than its original asking price.

A new chapter for the couple

The sale comes after Selena and Benny reportedly purchased a much more expensive Spanish-style estate in Beverly Hills.

The couple reportedly acquired the property off-market for around $35 million in December 2024, around the same time they announced their engagement.

With their first wedding anniversary now marked by romantic tributes and a major property change, Selena and Benny appear to be entering another chapter of their life together.

The couple’s move from Selena’s Encino home to their reported Beverly Hills estate represents a significant lifestyle change as they continue building their life as a married couple.
