According to Fatima, digital transformation can create new opportunities for young people and women. It can also help startups expand and compete in international markets.

She said the government would continue working with Google to improve digital skills in Pakistan. Cooperation in artificial intelligence, cloud technology and education would also be expanded.

Fatima also said Pakistan’s technology sector has the potential to support regional trade. She said the government would encourage exports of locally manufactured Chromebooks to other countries in the region.
