The Sindh High Court (SHC) has instructed the interior ministry to retract the closure notification of ‘X’ and set a one-week timeframe for compliance with the directive.
Additionally, the provincial apex court has requested the interior ministry to provide explanations for the closure of ‘X,’ previously known as Twitter, by May 9.
The Chief Justice of the SHC remarked that there appeared to be no significant grounds for imposing a ban on ‘X.’
Furthermore, the SHC Chief Justice noted that there is no constitutional mandate to enforce the reports of intelligence agencies.
