Shehbaz congratulates US on independence and vows to enhance bilateral relations

On the 246th Independence Day of United States of America, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his “heartiest felicitations” to the people of US.

PM Shehbaz, in a tweet today, stated that Pakistan had been looking forward to engage with Washington at all levels. The premier has also said that the purpose of Islamabad’s engagement with Washington was to engage on bilateral issues between the two countries including trade and investment.

Pakistan Ambassador to US Masood Khan has also congratulated the United States on the eve of its Independence Day, paying tribute to the founding fathers of US for making it a great nation.

July 4, 1776 was the day when Abraham Lincoln liberated the people of US from England. The continental congress of the original 13 colonies had voted for independence from England on July 2, 1776.
