According to CTD police, the arrested suspect, Khalil-ur-Rehman, was seen in various areas in the footage. The suspect walked from Khadda Market to the Saudi Consulate on foot. He then boarded a bus on Route X-10 near the Saudi Consulate and traveled to Empress Market.

The footage shows the suspect disembarking from the bus and walking to Quaid-e-Azam’s Mausoleum. He entered the mausoleum at 3:31 PM and filmed a video for TTP at 4:10 PM. He left the mausoleum at 4:40 PM and traveled via the parking plaza back to Empress Market. Later, the suspect and his accomplice boarded a bus from Saddar and returned to Defence.

According to CTD in-charge Raja Umar Khattab, the suspect Khalil-ur-Rehman is affiliated with the Noor Wali Ullah group. Acting on the orders of Al-Khawarij commander Misbah, he recorded videos at the mausoleum and shared them on social media with a threatening message stating, “We have arrived in Karachi.” The arrested suspect had also received terrorist training in Afghanistan.

After arriving in Karachi from Afghanistan, Khalil-ur-Rehman worked at various hotels before securing a job at a private security company. CTD officials further revealed that the suspect worked as a security guard at a bungalow in Defence and engaged in pro-TTP wall chalking at night. The investigation is ongoing, and further revelations are expected during interrogation.

CTD Incharge DSP Raja Umar Khattab stated that the arrested suspect, Khalilur Rehman, belongs to the Noor Wali Ullah group. In December 2024, on the orders of TTP Al-Khawarij commander Misbah, the suspect recorded videos of Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum and various locations in Karachi and sent them to Afghanistan. He also circulated these videos on social media, issuing a threat that TTP had arrived in Karachi.

During interrogation, the suspect revealed that after completing his training in Afghanistan, he came to Karachi and worked in various hotels. Later, he joined a private security company and was assigned duty at a bungalow in the Defence area. In his free time at night, he engaged in wall chalking related to TTP. The suspect was also involved in TTP Al-Khawarij graffiti in the Defence area of Karachi.

Raja Umar Khattab further stated that the suspect had also recorded and shared a video on social media. His movements were tracked through CCTV footage, which showed him roaming in different areas of Karachi.
