U.S. reaffirms commitment to address Pakistan’s energy crisis

The United States has reiterated its commitment to aiding Pakistan in addressing its energy crisis, with a spokesperson from the US State Department emphasizing energy cooperation as a key priority.

Matthew Miller, representing the US State Department, highlighted the significant role played by the US in increasing Pakistan’s clean energy capacity by an additional 4,000 megawatts.

These projects have greatly enhanced the country’s electricity capacity, ensuring that millions of Pakistanis now have access to electricity in their households.

Furthermore, the spokesperson from the US State Department emphasized the joint efforts between the US and Pakistan in advancing the Green Program, aimed at tackling environmental challenges, particularly water management.

The two nations are also collaborating on initiatives to promote climate-friendly agriculture and sustainable energy practices, further solidifying their partnership in addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development.
