We are ready to deliver against West Indies, says Sidra Amin

Pakistan women’s cricket team opener Sidra Amin expressed confidence in her team’s preparedness and strategic focus, particularly highlighting the importance of the spin bowling department, which is expected to play a crucial role.

Speaking during a media interaction at the National Bank Stadium on Tuesday ahead of the crucial series against West Indies, Sidra reflected on the team’s past encounters with West Indies.

“Our previous performances didn’t meet our expectations, but we’ve learned from those experiences and are fully ready for this series,” she stated.

The upcoming home series, commencing on April 18 at the National Bank Stadium, includes three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The ODIs hold significance in the ICC Women’s Championship, adding international stakes to the matches.

Sidra expressed optimism about the effectiveness of their spin bowling attack, stating, “Our spinners are in excellent form, and their performance will be crucial in determining the series outcome against the West Indies women.”

The Pakistan women’s team has undergone rigorous training under the guidance of their coaching staff, focusing on all facets of the game, including batting, bowling, and fielding.

The preparation also encompasses intensive physical training sessions aimed at enhancing their stamina and agility.

Additionally, PCB Chief Operating Officer Mr. Salman Naseer, accompanied by head of women’s cricket Tania Malik, held a meeting with the Pakistan women’s team and management in Karachi.

During the session, Mr. Naseer delivered an inspirational speech, urging the players to fully utilize their skills and energy to secure victory in the upcoming series against the West Indies women’s team.
