WhatsApp has introduced a useful new feature for its users. According to a report, a new feature has been added to the beta version of WhatsApp for Android devices.
The feature will make it easier for users to preview media shared in chats. This means that users will now be able to preview stickers, videos and photos sent by a contact without opening the chat.
Currently, text from messages appears in the home feed but users have to open a chat to view photos, videos or stickers. As a result, users often have to open multiple chats to view different photos or videos.
With the new feature, WhatsApp will display a small thumbnail next to the media label. For example, if someone sends you a photo, you will be able to see a small preview of the photo next to the word “Photo” without opening the chat.
Similarly, small previews of videos and stickers will also be displayed. This feature could be particularly useful for users who receive multiple photos and videos from different contacts or groups.
As mentioned above, the feature is currently available in the beta version so it is difficult to say when it will be rolled out to all WhatsApp users.
