The Italian star beat the Serbian legend 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 ending Djokovic’s bid for a record-extending 25th Grand Slam title.
The 39-year-old struggled to cope with Sinner’s aggressive game as the Italian fired 16 aces and lost only six points on his first serve throughout the match.
