Yash pauses Toxic event after students injured

The pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in Hyderabad on August 22 took an unexpected turn when a structure supporting the venue’s sound and lighting equipment collapsed, leaving two students injured. The incident occurred while actor Yash was addressing a large gathering of fans and students, prompting the KGF star to immediately stop his speech and check on those affected.

The event had been planned as a major promotional celebration ahead of the film’s worldwide release. Yash, who plays the lead role in Toxic, was interacting with the crowd when he noticed several students attempting to climb onto a sound-system structure to get a better view of him.

Concerned about their safety, the actor repeatedly urged them to come down. He could be heard warning the students from the stage, saying, “Aye… careful. Is it okay there? Please check… Please, students, be careful. Get down, please.”

Despite his warnings, the situation quickly became serious when the structure gave way. Two students were reportedly injured in the incident, causing panic among people gathered at the venue. As soon as the collapse occurred, attendees and members of the event team rushed toward the affected area to help those who had been hurt.

Police personnel present at the venue also responded promptly. The injured students were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention, while security and organisers worked to control the situation and ensure that the crowd remained safe.

Yash immediately paused his speech and directed the organisers and security personnel to focus on the injured students. Rather than continuing with the promotional programme, the actor waited until the situation was brought under control. His quick response and concern for the students attracted attention online, with many fans praising him for prioritising their safety during the chaotic moment.

Once the situation had stabilised, the event resumed and continued without any further major disruption. The incident, however, became one of the most discussed moments from the Hyderabad promotional gathering.

Several members of the Toxic cast were present at the event, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming film. Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Rukmini Vasanth attended the promotional programme alongside Yash. Nayanthara and Tara Sutaria, who are also associated with the highly anticipated project, were absent from the Hyderabad event.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has generated considerable interest among audiences because of its dark and ambitious storyline. The film revolves around a gangster-driven narrative featuring themes of love, power, betrayal and family, including a complicated father-son relationship.

The film has also been attracting strong commercial attention ahead of its release. Advance bookings opened several days before the theatrical debut and reportedly brought in around Rs 18 crore on the first day, highlighting the anticipation surrounding Yash’s return to the big screen.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is scheduled to release worldwide on August 26 in eight languages. With its release date approaching, the Hyderabad incident has added another widely discussed moment to the film’s promotional campaign, while Yash’s immediate reaction has received particular attention from fans and social media users.
