Bangladesh resumed their second innings on day three at 40/1 but were bowled out for just 185 runs.
Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy was dismissed for 22 while Mominul Haque also failed to make a significant contribution. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto and the experienced Mushfiqur Rahim briefly revived the innings with a 61-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Shanto scored 30, while Mushfiqur made 34 before both were dismissed, triggering another batting collapse.
Zimbabwe’s bowlers dominated the innings with Blessing Muzarabani claiming four wickets for 65 runs. Richard Ngarava picked up three wickets while Newman Nyamhuri took two.
With the emphatic victory, Zimbabwe not only won the one-off Test but also registered the largest win by runs in their Test history.
