Ten-year-old fashion designer Max Alexander has added two more Guinness World Records to his growing list of achievements, bringing his total to four.

The young designer set the latest records during a fashion event in New York on September 14. He became the youngest designer to create and launch an original fabric collection after collaborating with Mood Fabrics.

The collection features 15 sustainable materials, including BCI cotton, European flax linen, EcoVero viscose and recycled polyester faux fur. Max said the project was created to show how small, everyday choices can contribute to a more sustainable future.

He also secured another record at the New York event by threading a sewing machine in just 10.16 seconds. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was present to verify the achievement and presented Max with a certificate.

Max previously made fashion history in March when he became the youngest designer to showcase a collection at Paris Fashion Week. Around 90% of the pieces featured in the collection were made using sustainable materials, including deadstock, surplus fabrics, recycled bags and biodegradable textiles.

His first Guinness World Record came in November 2023, when he was just seven years old and became the youngest person to design a runway show. Max had already been sewing and creating clothes since the age of four.

By the time he received his first record, the young designer had created more than 100 designs, organised his own fashion shows and sold his work internationally.

Max has also attracted celebrity clients, including Sharon Stone and Debra Messing. In 2026, he was named to TIME’s TIME100 Creators list, further highlighting his rapid rise in the fashion world.
