Speaking to Extra at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, the British singer was asked about an upcoming project with Jordan.

“You’re doing something with Michael B. Jordan, right? What is this project you’re working on?” the outlet asked.

“I’m technically not allowed to talk about it because I might get in trouble,” RAYE replied.

Asked about the romance rumors surrounding the pair, she said: “No, we’re just friends who like roller coasters.”

RAYE did not disclose further details about the project, but said she would like to work with Madonna.

“Oh, my. Whatever she wants to make. I’m like, ‘What? What genre, darling?’ Yeah. I mean, I’d just be gagged,” she said, laughing.

Romance rumors surrounding RAYE and Jordan began in August after the two were seen riding roller coasters together at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles.

Reports later said the pair were working together on an undisclosed project. TMZ reported that RAYE was working on the soundtrack for a movie project involving Jordan.

RAYE, whose full name is Rachel Agatha Keen, is a British singer-songwriter and record producer. Her music incorporates jazz, pop, dance, R&B and soul.
