Ella Bright addresses off campus feud rumors at 2026 VMAs

Ella Bright has addressed the recent feud rumors surrounding her and her Off Campus co-star Belmont Cameli, making it clear that the speculation has become more amusing than serious for the young actress.

The 19-year-old actress, who plays Hannah Wells in Prime Video’s adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s popular book series, spoke about the online rumors while attending the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards on September 27.

Bright explained that she and Cameli spend a significant amount of time together while filming the series. According to the actress, the two have even joked about the rumors when they come across posts and discussions about their alleged disagreement online.

“Belmont and I spend every day on set together,” Bright said. She recalled how Cameli sometimes scrolls through his phone in the green room and brings up the latest online speculation.

“He’s like, ‘Ha! Remember when we did that?’ I was like, ‘That never happened,’” she recalled.

Rather than allowing the rumors to create tension between them, Bright said they simply laugh about the situation.

“It’s so funny. So, we’re just laughing about it,” she added.

The speculation began after fans noticed that Bright and Cameli had archived Instagram photos featuring each other. The social media change quickly caught the attention of viewers, with some fans wondering whether the two actors had fallen out behind the scenes.

“I mean, god forbid I wanted an aesthetic Instagram,” the actress quipped. “My bad. I’m so sorry!”

Her playful response suggests that the Instagram activity was not meant to signal any major conflict between the co-stars. Bright also emphasized that the cast has developed a close relationship while working on the series.

“So much love,” she said. “That’s my family.”
