A large python weighing around 40 kilogrammes and measuring approximately 12 feet in length was found in a field in Khan Khasa, an area of Narowal, Punjab, sparking concern among local residents.

According to reports circulating on social media, the python was spotted in an agricultural field, prompting residents to gather at the scene. The locals reportedly opened fire on the snake, killing it.

A video showing residents carrying the dead python on their shoulders has gone viral on social media. The footage has attracted attention because of the snake’s considerable size and weight.

After killing the python, the residents reportedly dug a pit and buried its body in the ground.
