A tragic accident occurred on the coastal highway, specifically near the Al-Saada area in Egypt’s South Sinai province.

At least 16 people were killed on the spot, while 28 others suffered injuries.

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population immediately sent 20 ambulances to the site. The injured passengers were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.

Local authorities claimed that the driver was traveling at high speed and lost control of the vehicle, causing the passenger bus to violently overturn.

Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar placed local medical facilities in a state of heightened emergency to make sure all victims receive specialized treatment.
