Taking action on the news published by Minute Mirror, police have registered a case and started search for the accused involved in a highly dangerous and illegal motorcycle stunt.
A video featuring a young man and woman performing a continuous double wheelie on a public road has gone viral on social media, raising serious concerns about public safety and traffic law violations.
In the video, the front wheel of the motorcycle is kept lifted in the air for a long distance while both riders are on the bike without helmets or any safety gear.
The man, wearing a black shirt and white pants, is sitting on the rear side while the woman in front is handling the handlebar in some parts. Both are seen hugging, gesturing, and spreading arms in the air while the bike is moving on one wheel at considerable speed. The stunt continues for nearly the entire stretch of the road, including under a flyover/bridge.
JURISDICTION CONFIRMED – RAWALPINDI:
According to a senior police officer, this area falls in the jurisdiction of District Rawalpindi. The officer confirmed that the location shown in the video has been identified and falls under Rawalpindi district limits, not Islamabad.
CASE REGISTERED, TRACE THROUGH SAFE CITY:
The police have taken notice of the viral video. A case has been registered at concerned police station for one-wheeling and dangerous driving.
Safe City cameras footage is being used to trace the culprits. Police teams have been formed to identify the individuals through the motorcycle’s registration number and video analysis.
PUBLIC SAFETY RISK:
The stunt is not only life-threatening for the riders themselves but also extremely dangerous for other commuters. At one point in the video, other motorcyclists can also be seen in the background.
Such wheelie stunts, especially double riding, often lead to fatal accidents. Citizens have demanded strict action against the violators to set an example and discourage youth from performing such life-threatening stunts for social media fame.
Police sources said legal action will be taken as per law once the accused are identified and traced.
