Pakistani actress Aina Asif has opened up about an unexpected fear she carries as she continues to grow in both her personal and professional life.
The young actress has quickly become one of the most recognisable faces in Pakistan’s television industry. With several successful dramas to her name, Aina has built a strong fanbase through her natural acting skills, charming personality and ability to connect with viewers.
Aina also enjoys a significant following on Instagram, where she has more than 3 million followers. Her growing popularity reflects the strong response she has received from audiences throughout her acting career.
The actress first gained widespread attention through her debut drama Pehli Si Muhabbat. She later appeared in several popular television projects, including Hum Tum, Mayi Ri, Baby Baji, Pinjra, Parwarish, Maa, Yeh Larkay Bhi Na and Judwaa.
Aina is now preparing for another exciting project as she will soon be seen in Geo TV’s upcoming drama Mohabbat, where she will share the screen with actor Shahveer Kadwani.
Despite her success at such a young age, Aina recently revealed that she is actually afraid of one thing many people consider a normal part of life: growing up.
During an appearance on Good Morning Pakistan, the actress was asked about adulthood and the things she would like to change or miss from her childhood. The discussion began when actor Adnan Siddiqui expressed his wish to return to his childhood.
Sharing her own thoughts, Aina admitted that the idea of growing up makes her uncomfortable.
“Growing up sucks. I am really scared of growing up,” she said.
Aina explained that she often becomes worried when she listens to older people discussing their lives and responsibilities. According to the actress, adulthood appears intimidating because it comes with numerous responsibilities, pressures and problems.
She said that whenever she observes adults around her, she notices that they often have something to worry about. From responsibilities to personal problems, she feels that adulthood can become filled with tension and anxiety.
“I always see elders; they are in tension and anxiety, and they have something to stress about,” Aina shared.
The actress further explained that gaining awareness about the different challenges faced by adults has made her understand why growing up can seem frightening. As people become older, they encounter problems and responsibilities that younger individuals may not fully understand.
Aina also reflected on the difference between younger and older generations. She suggested that young people can sometimes appear more carefree, naive and demanding because they have not yet experienced the responsibilities that come with adulthood.
She believes that once people grow older, they become more aware of the complexities of life and the different issues they have to deal with.
“After awareness, we know elderly people have different spectrums of issues, which are difficult for us to comprehend,” she explained.
Aina’s candid comments offered fans a glimpse into her personal thoughts beyond her acting career. While she has already achieved considerable success at a young age, her remarks showed that she is also thinking about the responsibilities and challenges that come with growing older.
For Aina, childhood represents a simpler phase of life, while adulthood appears to bring greater responsibilities and emotional pressure. Her honest perspective resonated with the universal fear of leaving behind the carefree years of childhood and entering a more demanding stage of life.
With Mohabbat set to add another project to her growing list of television appearances, Aina continues to make her mark in the entertainment industry while openly sharing her thoughts and experiences with her fans.
