RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has once again postponed its verdict in a case against Alima Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, over the November 26 protest, fixing October 26 as the new date for the announcement.
The court deferred the reserved verdict without conducting further proceedings on the scheduled hearing date. Alima Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Malik, appeared before the court during the proceedings.
ATC Judge Amjad Ali Shah had reserved the verdict on September 22 after hearing the case. However, the court has yet to announce its decision and has now postponed the verdict for the fourth time.
The latest delay extends the proceedings in the case linked to the November 26 protest, which led to legal action against several individuals associated with the PTI. Alima Khan, the sister of the party’s incarcerated founder, is among those facing proceedings in connection with the matter.
The court’s decision remains pending, and October 26 is now the next scheduled date for the verdict. The court has not announced a final ruling in the case so far.
The repeated postponements have kept the case unresolved despite the earlier reservation of the verdict. Further developments are expected when the court takes up the matter on the newly scheduled date.
The outcome will determine the court’s decision on the allegations covered by the case. Until the verdict is announced, the legal proceedings against Alima Khan in this matter remain unresolved.
