Jolie shares Maddox, 24, Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, Shiloh, 20, and 18-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with her former husband, actor Brad Pitt.
The Maleficent star said one of the most important responsibilities of a parent is knowing when to step back and allow children to discover their own potential. She explained that parents should support their children while recognising that they have separate lives and ambitions.
