According to a statement issued by the BCB, action has been taken against Mokhlesur Rahman, Zakir Hasan and Rakibul Islam Sunny in connection with alleged corruption during the previous edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

The BCB said that Mokhlesur Rahman has been accused of attempting to fix a match during the 12th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League. The allegation has prompted the board’s Integrity Unit to take action under the International Cricket Council (ICC) Anti-Corruption Code.

According to the BCB statement Mokhlesur Rahman has been charged under four provisions of the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. The board did not provide further details about the specific incidents allegedly involving the three individuals.

The statement said that all three accused have been charged over their alleged involvement in corrupt activities during the previous edition of the BPL.

The latest development comes as the Bangladesh Cricket Board continues to strengthen its efforts to address corruption and maintain integrity in domestic cricket competitions. Match-fixing and other forms of corruption are considered serious violations under international cricket’s anti-corruption framework.

The BCB has previously taken action against individuals suspected of violating its anti-corruption regulations. In May 2026, the board also initiated proceedings against four people for alleged breaches of the Anti-Corruption Code.

The latest charges are expected to be examined through the relevant disciplinary and anti-corruption procedures. The accused individuals will have the opportunity to respond to the allegations in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The Bangladesh Premier League is one of the country’s major domestic cricket tournaments and attracts significant attention from fans and players.
