Cabinet extends Afghan refugee Registration cards to June 30

On Friday, the federal cabinet approved extending the validity of Proof of Registration (POR) cards for Afghan refugees until June 30, 2024.

During the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the cabinet also agreed to set up a special court in Makran division for anti-narcotics cases.

This special court will cover the areas of Panjgur, Kech, Gwadar, Hub, and Lasbela.

The cabinet received a briefing on the privatization of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the condition of airport facilities. It discussed a new policy for using drone technology in agriculture and asked for it to be submitted for approval. The briefing revealed that several companies are interested in buying PIA.

Additionally, the cabinet approved the appointment of four new members to the Board of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan.

The cabinet also approved the setup of a special court for anti-narcotics cases in Makran division.
