ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Capital Emergency Services (CES) Islamabad observed World First Aid Day by organizing an awareness and demonstration event at Lake View Park, aimed at educating citizens about the importance of immediate medical assistance during emergencies.

The event brought together trained emergency personnel from Rescue 1122, who engaged with families, visitors and members of the public to promote awareness about basic first aid techniques and emergency preparedness. Rescue teams also arrived with emergency ambulances and conducted practical demonstrations to help citizens understand how timely action can help protect lives before professional medical assistance reaches the scene.

During the awareness activity, Rescue 1122 officials demonstrated several essential first aid procedures and explained the appropriate response to different emergency situations. Visitors were briefed on the importance of remaining calm, assessing the situation quickly and taking suitable action while waiting for trained emergency responders.

The rescue personnel highlighted that the first few minutes following an accident, injury or sudden medical emergency can be critical.
