Islamabad: The timely response and continuous efforts of the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Sanitation Department have helped minimise difficulties for citizens following heavy rainfall in Islamabad.

*CDA officials while talking to *Minute Mirror** stated that sanitation teams remained fully operational throughout the night to deal with the impact of heavy rains. The teams focused on draining accumulated rainwater, clearing roads, removing waste and debris, and ensuring that major routes remained accessible for commuters.

According to officials, immediate measures were taken at important highways, underpasses, low-lying areas, and other sensitive points where water accumulation could have disrupted traffic. Special teams were assigned to monitor these locations and carry out necessary operations without delay.

Residents appreciated the quick response of CDA teams, as several key roads were cleared within a few hours after the rainfall. The timely drainage work helped restore normal traffic conditions and allowed citizens to continue their daily activities without facing major obstacles during morning commuting hours.

While many residents remained indoors due to overnight heavy showers, CDA sanitation workers continued field operations. The teams worked in challenging weather conditions to remove rainwater from roads, clean drainage channels, and ensure that water flow remained uninterrupted.
