CJP disposes of 46 cases in five days

In a notable stride forward, the Supreme Court Karachi Registry has seen significant advancements in the cases under its jurisdiction.

Over the course of five days, a three-member bench led by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa has successfully resolved 46 cases, marking a notable acceleration in the pace of judicial proceedings.

Of particular significance is the fact that many of these cases had languished in the judicial system for a staggering 15 years, underscoring the importance of this recent breakthrough.

From April 22 to 26, a total of 49 cases were listed for hearing at the Supreme Court Registry, spanning a diverse array of legal matters, including civil disputes, criminal proceedings, contractual disagreements, employment recruitment issues, and land disputes.

Furthermore, Chief Justice Isa issued directives aimed at curbing encroachments outside buildings, along highways, and on footpaths, stating the court’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring public welfare. This proactive approach not only expedites the resolution of longstanding legal disputes but also addresses pressing concerns regarding public infrastructure and urban development.
