Counterfeit and substandard drugs identified by Punjab drug testing laboratory

The Punjab Drug Testing Laboratory has flagged multiple batches of 13 life-saving drugs as counterfeit and substandard. In a recent report, the laboratory has directed drug inspectors across all districts to immediately halt the sale of these drugs in their respective areas. The listed drugs include:

– Aerosol spray with registration number 088094, batches BL080 and BL090, manufactured by Selmor Pharmaceutical, Lahore, has been identified as counterfeit.
– Caretran suspension 50ml, registration number 066499, batch number CN014, produced by Wellcare Pharmaceutical, Sargodha, has been labeled as counterfeit, substandard, and misbranded.
– Anarob infusion 500mg/100ml, registration number 026985, batch number L23210, produced by Vision Pharmaceutical, Islamabad, has been rated as substandard.
– Isanex injection 1g, registration number 024657, batch number 1A701, manufactured by Humayun International Pharma, Faisalabad, has been classified as substandard.
– Fymezole 40 mg injection, registration number 081266, batch number F394, produced by FYNK Pharmaceutical, Kala Shah Kaku, has been deemed substandard.
– Cipak infusion, registration number 0796963, batch number 23H506, manufactured by GMP Pharmaceutical, Lahore, has been identified as substandard.
– Acelyf syrup 60ml, registration number 077431, batch number 5911, produced by Highcon Pharmaceutical, Peshawar, has been declared substandard.
– Texcol DM syrup 120ml, registration number 025034, batch number 09930, produced by Razi Therapeutics, Kasur, has been rated substandard.
– Texcol EX syrup 120ml, batches 63855 and 63848, both manufactured by Razi Therapeutics, Kasur, have been deemed substandard.
– Texcol E syrup 120ml, registration number 026011, batch number 15482, produced by Razi Therapeutics, Kasur, has been classified as substandard.
– Mexair expectorant 60ml, registration number 027092, batch number 06-23, manufactured by Seza International, Lahore, has been identified as substandard.

Strict instructions have been issued to all medical stores, pharmacies, health centers, and hospitals to refrain from using or selling these batches of drugs.
