Duckworth was known for his work with the family country group Taylor Made, which he formed alongside his siblings Wendy Williams and Greg Duckworth.
His family said music remained an important part of his life. He was also known for his love of singing and for regularly performing with his family.
The nickname “Nashville” reflected his strong connection with country music and his passion for performing.
In a statement, Duckworth’s family remembered him as someone who valued his loved ones above everything else. They said he treasured the memories he created with his family and had a deep affection for his pets.
“Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him,” the family said.
Duckworth’s death was also linked to his best-known musical work, including the song “Heavy Duty Beauty,” which helped establish his name among country music listeners.
He is survived by his six children, Zach Morris, Ashton Goines, Logan Duckworth, Kayla Starkey, Michael Starkey and Matt Starkey.
He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Jax, Raiden, Dane and Dimitri, with another grandchild expected.
His surviving family members include his mother-in-law Naomi “Pauline” Kish Scheuvront, several siblings and extended family members.
Duckworth was also survived by his beloved pets Chester, Lucy, Sloan and Tank, who his family described as an important part of his life.
Funeral arrangements have been announced by Bartlett Funeral Home in Grafton, West Virginia.
Family and friends will be able to pay their respects on September 13 and 14, with the funeral service scheduled for September 14.
Pastor Baron Claypool will officiate the service. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Garden.
The family has invited friends and loved ones to share condolences as they mourn the loss of the country musician.
