LAHORE: The Punjab Home Department has transferred seven Deputy Superintendents of Jail to enable them to attend the 42nd Public Sector Management and Governance Course at the Management and Professional Development Department (MPDD), Lahore.
According to Notification No. SO(Prs)1-1/2025/104, issued by the Secretary Home Department on September 9, 2026, the officers have been directed to report to the Inspectorate of Prisons, Punjab, Lahore for the mandatory training.

The transferred officers include Kashif Rasool Khalid, Deputy Superintendent Jail, who was serving as Superintendent at District Jail Sialkot under Section 9 of the PCS Act; Ghulam Mohy-ud-Din, serving as Additional Superintendent at Central Jail Gujranwala; and Farhan Ahsan Naqvi, posted as Deputy Superintendent (Development) at District Jail Khanewal.

Sources familiar with the matter told Minute Mirror that the transfers are part of the prescribed administrative procedure for relieving the officers from their existing field assignments so they can complete the mandatory MPDD training required for promotion to BS-18.
The notification has been forwarded to the Accountant General Punjab, Inspector General of Prisons Punjab and the concerned Deputy Inspectors General of Prisons for information and necessary action.
The move forms part of the Punjab Prisons Department’s ongoing promotion-linked training and professional capacity-building process for its officers.
