ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani in Islamabad on Thursday.
The two ministers discussed ways to strengthen relations between Pakistan and Syria. They also exchanged views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar received Al-Shaibani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was described as warm and constructive.
The discussions focused on expanding cooperation between the two countries. Both sides also reviewed opportunities to further strengthen bilateral relations.
Al-Shaibani arrived in Islamabad earlier in the day for a two-day official visit. He is leading a senior Syrian delegation.
