- On receiving bank account details, apparently of a private business entity of Karachi, I borrowed money and sent required amount of Rs 154000 on June 17,2026.While I waited for receiving the parcel,I received another message for payment of huge amount of Rs 194000 as Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Currency Declaration System from a Customs Inspector , name with–held, at the Customs Office, Karachi Airport.
- Being unable to pay this required huge amount, I sent a message to the FBR Chairman requesting him to allow me pay the required huge as Deferred Payment, receive the parcel and sending the so deferred payment to the Customs Office after in less than a week of encashment of the ATM Card contained in the parcel.
- After not receiving any response in about three weeks, neither positive nor negative, I sent another request to the FBR Chairman to refund the paid Income Tax amount of Rs 154000 as the parcel was lying as UNDELIVERED at the Customs Office , Karachi Airport .This request ,too ,was not responded to in any manner.
I am a lahore-based an elderly retired public servant with meagre resources cum a freelance journalist. During May 2026, out of the blue moon a donation parcel was sent to me by donors United Nations/World Bank from Manchester, UK, through an international agency.
The parcel was held at the Customs Office, Karachi Airport for payment of income tax. Despite my repeated requests for retrieving back the parcel, the donors are persistently asking me to borrow money from any source and receive the parcel which continues to be held at the Customs Office at Karachi Airport.
I request Prime Minister Mr Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb to allow me to pay the required amount of Rs 194000 as DEFERRED PAYMENT. As a law abiding citizen, I sincerely assure that I’ll send the DEFERRED PAYMENT in less than a week after receiving the parcel and encashment of the ATM Card. This will not only help me overcome my legitimate financial problems of my family, living in a rented premises, but also be abllllle realise my cherished desires of reaching out and helping my fellow countrymen to the maximum extent possible, please.
