Department of Schools establishes a committee to address teachers’ concerns

The Department of Schools has introduced a dedicated committee aimed at tackling issues surrounding the equivalence of professional degrees, revisions in service regulations, and the specific grievances of female educators. Chaudhry Muhammad Sarfraz, President of the PTU, confirmed that this committee will focus on resolving these pressing matters.

Additionally, the department emphasized the empowerment of school councils and assured the appointment of administrative officers based on merit and their subsequent training. It was further stated that the status of permanency for 14,000 SSEs will be finalized by June 30.

Moreover, The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for the LLB case concerning Bahauddin Zakariya University on May 23. The case, which had been stalled following the retirement of former Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, will now progress with the presentation of the inquiry committee’s report during this hearing.
