Dubai has introduced a new initiative called the “Flexi Rent” scheme to make rental payments easier for tenants.
According to Emirati state media, the program allows tenants to pay rent in monthly installments instead of traditional lump-sum payments. The scheme has been launched in partnership with 12 real estate companies.
Officials confirmed that the total rent amount will remain unchanged, with only the payment method adjusted. Tenants can now pay rent through monthly installments, one or two cheques, or by card.
Reports also noted that in some cases tenants may be granted a grace period for payments, while annual rent increases could be waived. Additionally, fees for bounced cheques have been removed under the scheme.
The Flexi Rent program applies to both new rental contracts and renewed agreements, offering tenants greater flexibility and convenience in managing housing costs.
