Emaan Asad invites Rajab Butt to son’s first birthday

Pakistani content creator Emaan Asad has publicly invited her former husband, Rajab Butt, to attend their son Kivan Sultan’s first birthday celebration.

Emaan, who has built a significant following on Instagram, frequently shares updates about her son with her followers. Kivan is set to turn one in September.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Emaan extended an open invitation to Rajab Butt and his family, asking them to attend the birthday celebration and be part of the special occasion.

She said she had never prevented Rajab from meeting his son and wanted Kivan’s first birthday to remain a happy memory rather than becoming part of a dispute.

Emaan also spoke about the responsibilities associated with parenthood. She said being a father involved more than attending a birthday celebration and required regular care, communication and financial support.

She questioned whether Rajab had contacted her during the past year to ask about Kivan’s wellbeing or whether he needed anything. She also claimed that she had not received child maintenance and said no member of Rajab’s family had regularly checked on the child.

Emaan further said she did not want Kivan to experience the stress of court proceedings, particularly on his first birthday. She maintained that her home had always been open for Rajab to meet his son.

Recalling an earlier meeting during Eid, Emaan said Rajab had visited her home with relatives, friends and security personnel. She claimed that she welcomed them inside and arranged a meeting between the father and son.

According to Emaan, the matter later moved towards legal proceedings instead of being resolved privately.

Despite the ongoing differences, she said she was once again inviting Rajab, along with his family members, to Kivan’s birthday celebration.

Emaan urged both sides to prioritise the child’s happiness and wellbeing instead of turning family matters into social media content.
