England arrive in Pakistan for ODI tri-series starting October 18

England’s cricket team arrived in Islamabad on Friday for the upcoming ODI tri-series featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with matches scheduled in Rawalpindi and Lahore from October 18 to 31.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials welcomed the visiting team at the airport. England are scheduled to train at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Stadium on Saturday ahead of the tournament.

The series will begin with Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka on October 18, followed by Pakistan’s clash against England at the same venue on October 20.

The tournament will follow a double round-robin format, with the top two teams qualifying for the final. The first three matches will be played in Rawalpindi, while the remaining four fixtures will take place at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already begun preparations, holding intensive training sessions in Rawalpindi.

England arrive in strong form after winning their last three ODI series, including two at home and one away. Pakistan, meanwhile, will look to build on their recent 2-1 T20I series victory over Sri Lanka, although the visitors finished strongly by winning the final match.
