Fatal truck-rickshaw collision on Muzaffargarh–DG Khan road leaves one dead, three injured

A tragic traffic accident near the Nala San area on the Muzaffargarh–Dera Ghazi Khan Road resulted in the death of a 40-year-old man and left three others injured on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122 sources, emergency responders quickly dispatched two ambulances and a fire vehicle to the scene of the collision. The incident reportedly transpired when a broken-down truck was left parked in the middle of the road, whilst a goods-carrying rickshaw was travelling on the wrong side of the thoroughfare. A passing truck subsequently collided with the rickshaw after its driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, triggering the fatal crash.

Rescue workers provided immediate first aid to the injured survivors before transferring them to Indus Hospital in Muzaffargarh for urgent medical care. The deceased was identified as Ibrahim, a resident of Loralai in the Balochistan province. Authorities transported his body to the Rural Health Centre in Basira to complete the necessary legal and administrative formalities.

The three injured individuals were identified as 18-year-old Moeen, 35-year-old Zubair, and 25-year-old Mohammad Jahangir, all of whom sustained injuries of varying severity.
