TEHRAN: Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has arrived in Iran as Pakistan intensifies its diplomatic efforts to support peace and stability in the region.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir is accompanied by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to Iran.

The visit comes amid heightened tensions in the Middle East, with Pakistan seeking to encourage dialogue and contribute to efforts aimed at resolving the ongoing regional conflict.

The military’s media wing said Field Marshal Munir’s discussions will focus on supporting initiatives for a peaceful, lasting and comprehensive resolution to the crisis.

The visit is also expected to provide an opportunity for Pakistan and Iran to discuss regional security concerns and strengthen bilateral coordination at a time of growing geopolitical tensions.

Pakistan has repeatedly called for diplomatic engagement and peaceful solutions to regional disputes. Munir’s visit reflects Islamabad’s continued efforts to play a constructive role in promoting dialogue and stability across the region.
