Field Marshal Asim Munir arrives in Türkiye for key two-day official visit

ANKARA: Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, arrived in Türkiye on Monday for a two-day official visit, where he received a warm welcome upon his arrival.

According to security sources, the visit reflects the close and longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Türkiye, with a series of high-level meetings scheduled during his stay.

Field Marshal Asim Munir is expected to hold separate meetings with Türkiye’s military and political leadership to discuss matters of mutual interest, regional security and ways to further strengthen bilateral defence cooperation.
