Ticket prices on the secondary market have fallen sharply ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals following the elimination of the United States and Portugal.
According to reports, the cheapest ticket for Friday’s quarter-final in Los Angeles has dropped from around $2,950 to $1,200, a decline of more than 50%.
The price drop came after the United States was knocked out by Belgium while Spain eliminated Portugal bringing Cristiano Ronaldo’s World Cup campaign to an end.
Market analysts said demand would likely have been much higher if the United States and Portugal had met in the quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, the France vs Morocco quarter-final is considered the most affordable fixture of the round with entry-level tickets available for about $989.
For the World Cup final on July 19 in New Jersey, the cheapest tickets are currently priced at $9,346 although prices are expected to fluctuate depending on the teams that qualify.
The report also noted that average quarter-final ticket prices have declined in recent days while the number of tickets available for resale has increased significantly.
