Government decision to establish NDC and DPA

Islamabad: The decision has been made to establish the National Digital Commission (NDC) and Digital Pakistan Authority (DPA).

This decision by the federal government is aimed at promoting Digital Pakistan and in this regard, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has also issued an official notification.

In this context, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication has formed a high-level committee with the Chairperson of the committee being the Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Sheeza Fatima and Co-Chairperson, Tania Androos.

The 7-member committee includes IT and digital experts tasked with completing the foundational work for the National Digital Commission and Digital Pakistan Authority.

This initiative marks a significant step towards harnessing the potential of digital technologies for the socio-economic development of Pakistan. The establishment of these institutions underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the country’s progress and prosperity.
