Gulshan-e-Hadeed Deaths: Initial Post-Mortem Reports Received by Police

KARACHI : Police have received the initial post-mortem reports of the five persons found dead in Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Karachi.

According to police officials, the preliminary report reveals that Shahzaib was shot on the left side of his head, with the bullet exiting from the right side, while his wife Saba was shot on the right side of her head, with the bullet exiting from the left side.

Police officials said three bullet casings were recovered from the crime scene. Gunpowder residue samples were also collected from the hands of Shahzaib and his sister Shumaila.

As per the report, samples were also taken from the body of Shahzaib’s sister Shumaila, whose mouth was frothing at the time of recovery. Both children were also found with froth coming from their mouths. All samples have been sent to the laboratory.

Police officials added that the cause of death of Shahzaib’s sister and daughters will be ascertained after reports of samples taken from different organs are received.

Earlier, five members of a family were found dead inside a house in Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase-II, sparking an investigation. Police are probing whether the incident was a murder-suicide or involved other factors, pending forensic and chemical examination reports.
